We’re venturing into the world of fantasy via a short story called Gods of the North by Robert E Howard. It’s a tale of a fierce warrior’s encounter with the icy daughter of a God after standing as the lone, victorious warrior on a bloody battlefield.
Originally published in March 1934 in “The Fantasy Fan”, then reprinted in Fantastic Universe December 1956. Robert E Howard is best known as being the author and creator of the fantastica tales of Conan the Barbarian, and this story is a glimpse into other times in this world.
